Sara Andersdotter is a London based Swedish artist and practice-based PhD candidate, whose work can be seen as a visual, experiential and critical discussion on memory as an event of the subjective experience, with a particular focus on the artist as an itinerant subject and practitioner. This art practice is primarily installation based, and searches for ways of discussing memory through the creation of experiential environments. These environments are brought together using a range of disparate and sensory materials, from Swedish soil, amateur hunting videos and taxidermy, to heat, sound and smell, attempting to trigger an affect and deeper thought regarding how we experience or understand memory and the past. |
