This sculptural installation, Disconnection Portrait, took place in 2001. The installation focused on feelings of pressure, fear and failure in states of isolation, separation and estrangement; an existential disconnection. It incorporated fleshy forms and tower-like structures; one squashed up against the ceiling, one perked in precariously elevated position, one toppled – fallen – and immobilised on the ground.
