Ça na pas ete series
This series of work is focussed around personal or private photographs and our relationship to the past, viewed through the album. It questions the status of the photographic image within the familial domain and the trust we burden this image with, and highlights issues inherent in the creation of the family album surrounding editing and selecting (inclusion / exclusion), reading and interpreting. The project consists of a range of images exposed with a long shutter release cable, a selection of (cut / modified) existing personal photographs, severed furniture (installation), and a slide show revealing interaction with research into memory and its relationship to my practice.
